Sanwoolu bans Okadas in Lagos

The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu has banned commercial motorcycle (also known as Okada) Operations in the state, reports Parrot Reporters

Sanwo-Olu made the announcement today after a meeting with Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Alabi Abiodun, All Area Commanders with all Divisional Police Officers and other security agencies at the Lagos House, Ikeja.

Parrot Reporters gathered further that the ban on Okada Operations shall be enforced in Ikeja, Surulere, Eti-Osa, Lagos Mainland, Lagos Island and Apapa Local Government Areas effective from Wednesday June 1st, 2022.

Governor Sanwo-Olu however said that to ensure full compliance with the directive, all security agencies in the state would collaborate to enforce the ban.
