Lagos continues to stamp it’s authority as the entertainment center and events capital of West Africa as it held it’s Food Festival which was conceptualized to showcase and celebrate the diversity and creativity in the food sector of Lagos.
The festival themed “A taste for Africa” and held today at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos is organized by the Lagos State Government and hosted by the Commisioner for Agriculture, Ms Abisola Olusanya who said the event is a avenue for fun lovers to meet different people, as well as a platform for various business people, especially Food Producers, Food Processors and Food Lovers to interact.
Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwoolu who had become a regular attendee of the festival yearly registered and validated his popularity with the citizens of Lagos to prove why his reelection is certain by the overwhelming adulation and veneration the Governor received from the crowd of mostly young people who cheered and extolled him as he displayed his culinary skills after visiting various food stands and speaking to attendees
Apart from serving as an avenue for participants to showcase their products and culinary talents particularly those in the food sector, it also provided a platform for the citizens to unwind, get entertained by playing fun games and enjoying cultural displays while also getting to meet thier highly perfoming Governor in a relaxed atmosphere amidst wining and dining with varieties of delicacies and drinks for which the spectacular Lagos social life is reknowned.
