Recognizing the global significance of this Islamic festival, Hon. Odunmbaku shared a message emphasizing peace, prosperity, and joy. Eid Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son in obedience to Allah’s command, symbolizing unwavering faith and devotion.

“As we celebrate Eid Adha, let us remember the importance of community, support for one another, and the blessings of sharing,” said Hon. Odunmbaku. “This is a time to reach out to those in need, to extend our hands in generosity, and to strengthen the bonds that hold us together as a community.”

Addressing the ongoing cholera outbreak, the Chairman urged residents to observe health and safety guidelines during the festivities. “While we celebrate, we must not forget the need to stay safe and protect our loved ones,” he stated. “I urge everyone to follow health protocols and ensure that our celebrations are not only joyous but also safe for all.”

Hon. Odunmbaku concluded his message by reflecting on the essence of Eid Adha and reiterating his best wishes. “May this festival bring immense joy, peace, and prosperity to all our homes. Eid Mubarak to all residents of Ojodu LCDA. Let us continue to work together for the progress and development of our beloved community.”
