.… Pacifies Nigerians Over Current Crisis…..

The association of Chief Press Secretaries (CPS), across the 57 local governments and local council development areas in Lagos State, have applauded incentives made by Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, to cushion the effect of naira and fuel scarcity in the state.

In a solidarity message delivered by State chairman of Conference 57 CPS, Ayodele Ayeyemi, on behalf of the group, he noted that Governor Sanwo-Olu’s intervention was strategic and timely for a peaceful society.

“We appreciate efforts of Mr. Governor, towards making Lagos to work despite the economic challenges.

“The reduction in transportation fares on state owned commercial buses is a proof the state’s committment towards an improved welfare package for the people.

“Governor Sanwo-Olu’s proactive measures in the area of fuel scarcity is a welcome idea that other state Governors should emulate.

“Lagos State is working and we’ll advise that citizens support these initiatives by Mr. Governor, and ensure a peaceful society.” the message reads in part.

CPS Ayeyemi also commended the All Progressives Congress (APC), national leader and Presidential candidate; Asíwájú Bola Ahmed Tinubu for throwing his weight in support of the Supreme court verdict on naira extension.

According to the grassroots media state chairman, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu understands the impact of naira scarcity, a leader must consider the impact on the common man, and that’s what Asíwájú is concerned about,” he said.

He urged Lagosians to go about their daily activities peacefully, adding that security agencies had been detailed to ensure Lagos is safe for all.

– The statement was signed and released by Mr Fakunle Sheriff Ekundayo, Public Relations Officer of Conference 57 CPS today, February 9, 2023.
