In a heartwarming display of compassion and humanitarian spirit, Owolabi Falana, the youngest member of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), celebrated his birthday by visiting the Olisa Primary School Inclusive Unit and Modupe Cole Memorial Centre, spending quality time with the children of special needs.

The event, which took place on Friday April 24th, saw Falana interact with the special students, engage in various activities and provide them with gifts and treats to make their day extra special. The joy and laughter that filled the air were a testament to the impact of Falana’s presence and the importance of inclusivity and support for individuals with special needs.

“It was a truly humbling and rewarding experience to celebrate my birthday with these amazing children,” said Falana. “Their resilience, joy, and zest for life are an inspiration to us all. I’m honored to be able to contribute, in my own small way, to their growth and development.”

The celebration was attended by the school’s administrators, teachers, and staff who expressed their gratitude for Falana’s involvement and commitment to the well-being of the students. The event also served as a reminder of the crucial role that community leaders and public officials play in advocating for the rights and needs of the most vulnerable members of society.

“Mr. Falana’s visit has brought immense joy and encouragement to our students and staff,” said school administrators led by Education Secretary for Mushin Local Government Education Authority (LGEA) – Princess Akinlude
“His genuine care and dedication to supporting children with special needs are truly admirable and we are grateful for his continued partnership and support.” She further said.

The birthday celebration with the children of special needs underscores Owolabi Falana’s dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. It is a testament to his character and his commitment to creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Owolabi Falana, widely reffered by associates as “OJ” is a reverred technocrat and member of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). He is known for his tireless efforts to improve the quality of education and support it’s access to vulnerable communities which saw him display admirable hands on approach to leadership by traversing the length and breadth of Lagos State months ago to visit one hundred schools to ascertain needs and evaluate progress in public schools.
