Vincent Enyeama was named to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Team of the Year on three different occasions. The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) also named Enyeama as one of the greatest African goalkeeper of all time.
The former No. 1 jersey from Nigeria was chosen due to his great performances for club and country throughout his football career. He played for teams including the record-breaking Nigerian champions Enyimba, Israeli teams Bnei Yehuda and Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Lille in Ligue 1 throughout his 14-year career.
Enyeama represented Nigeria at three FIFA World Cup, one in Korea/Japan 2002, another in South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014. he also made a crucial assist for Super Eagles in winning the 2013 Africa Cup of Nation’s.
