The Three Most Performing Ministers in Tinubu’s Cabinet

In the online survey which was conducted over a period of one week, majority of the respondents(29.6%) rated the Minister of the Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as the best performing minister so far. He is followed in second place by the Minister of Works, David Umahi(11.1%). The Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike came third(10.2%)The respondents believe the three ministers have distinguished themselves in office .

All three Ministers have indeed been very active and have made remarkable impacts in their various assignments.

David Umahi

Interior Minister Tunji-Ojo has transformed the issuance of international passports removing the deep-rooted bureaucracy that made securing a passport a herculean task. The long delays that used to characterize the process are now a thing of the past. The Nigerian Immigration Service is now set to commence home delivery of passports. The reform has also been extended to the process of registering for the National Identity Number, NIN, which used to be a nightmare. The minister has introduced innovations and technology making the entire process seamless.

Nyesom Wike

Both Umahi and Wike have also distinguished themselves in office so far. As Minister of Works, Umahi is credited with carrying out an extensive rehabilitation of the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos in record time. Today, the bridge is an impressive sight to behold. The minister is also overseeing the construction of the ambitious 700km Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project. He has so far handled the project exceptionally ensuring that almost all the concerns over the project are addresed. He is also busy with various road projects across the country. And he has displayed a deep knowledge of his job.

FCT Minister, Wike is living up to his appellation as ‘Mr Project’. He is transforming the facing of Abuja in way that has not been seen witnessed in a very long time. His infrastructure projects touch every part of the federal capital territory including rural parts of the capital city that had always been neglected in the past. He has been able to revive the Abuja metro line, construct news roads and structures and much more.
