President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of board chairpersons for 42 federal organizations, alongside a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI). Additionally, a Secretary has been named for the Civil Defence, Immigration, and Prisons Services Board.
In a directive accompanying the appointments, President Tinubu emphasized that the roles of the board chairpersons are non-executive, urging them to respect the operational independence of the management teams of the respective organizations.
