Twinfest Africana 2025 Organizers with Hon Idris Aregbe, SA To The Governor on Tourism Arts and Culture.

Preparations have intensified ahead of the highly anticipated TwinFest Lagos 2025 as organizers of the event paid an official visit to the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to brief the government on plans for the upcoming festival described as the largest annual gathering of twins and multiple-birth families in Nigeria.

The delegation, led by Engr. Bola Babarinde, alongside Mrs. Tai Salvador was accompanied by popular twin models, Taiwo and Kehinde Yahya, during the strategic engagement with the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts and Culture, Hon. Idris Aregbe and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Adebopo Oyekan-Ismaila.

During the meeting, the government formally endorsed the event, pledging strong technical and institutional support in line with Lagos State’s commitment to cultural innovation, tourism development and entertainment-driven economic expansion during the festive season known as Detty December.

Hon. Aregbe expressed excitement about the initiative, describing TwinFest as a uniquely Lagos experience with strong cultural value and tourism prospects. He assured the organizers that despite budgetary constraints, the ministry would collaborate on publicity support, planning guidance and stakeholder engagement especially with local government tourism units to scale this year’s edition into a major cultural attraction.

In her remarks, Permanent Secretary Oyekan-Ismaila commended the vision of the organizers and hinted that TwinFest Lagos 2025 will be considered for inclusion in the official line-up of events marking December festivities in Lagos. She noted that cultural expressions that draw families and visitors together align with the state’s tourism agenda.

TwinFest Lagos 2025 Returns December 20 As Thousands Expected For Event.

The festival, scheduled for December 20, 2025, will convene thousands of twins, triplets and other multiple-birth children and adults for a carnival-themed celebration. The event is expected to attract families, tourists, entertainment stakeholders and media organizations from across the country.

This year’s edition will showcase:

Parade of twins and multiples

Cultural dance and musical performances

Fashion runway appearances

Special recognitions and awards

Fun games and family competitions

Exhibitions and product showcases

Red carpet reception and photo sessions

Twinfest Africana Event Models, Taiwo and Kehinde Yahya.

TwinFest Africana 2025, according to the media and partnership team led by Mr Bello Akinkunmi Yakub, Dr German Omoruwa and Mr Yekeen aims to build a global community of twins and highlight the cultural link between Yoruba heritage and the globally renowned phenomenon of twin births.
