In the wake of the recently conducted elections for the leadership of the National Assembly, the PDP has set up a committee to investigate its lawmakers.

It will be recalled that the PDP as a party had openly supported Ali Ndume, as the Senate President and Umar Bargo as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. However both of them lost out to Senator Lawan and Gbajabiamila respectively with wide margins.

The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, after the ‘PDP 86th National Executive Committee’ meeting in Abuja, told journalists that the PDP would investigate what happened.

He said, “The party has set up a committee to investigate what happened in NASS election as it concerns the party.”
