WHY NIGERIA NEEDS A PRIMARY HEALTHCARE SERVICES DELIVERY SYSTEM URGENTLY – Adedamola Koledoye

A government that can implement a system that guarantees access to quality healthcare services to all and sundry across Nigeria will forever remain a Legend, because the health sector is largely neglected and the brain drain of our medical professionals is making it worse.

The pandemic exposed the inefficiencies in the world’s healthcare delivery system, such that even in the West we saw people lying outside on sidewalks, because there was no hospital bed, or doctors available to attend to them, while corpses litter some streets with no way of evacuation, so their government responded by implementing a mobile technology that monitors common diseases/ailments, provide access to medical professionals via virtual platforms, provided online pharmacies and laboratory services, and medical knowledgebase, so that hospitals will become intensive care units or for emergencies only.

Nigeria is currently in a state of emergency, and the President and his Advisers needs to be aware that due to the brain drain, rural dwellers can no longer access quality healthcare services because facilities are decaying and the few qualified medical professionals are overwhelmed.

It’s now difficult and very expensive for urban dwellers to access same, because of scarcity of medical specialist, then access to their expertise only goes to the highest bidder, so we need to implement this Mobile primary healthcare services delivery system now to guarantee quality healthcare services for all.

The technology is now available in Nigeria, built by a local team of software engineers with competency in Medicare delivery services, and ready to deploy it Nationwide as our way of strengthening this administration, making Nigeria better, and saving lives, kindly help forward to the right links in the government so together we can make Nigeria great again, thank you.
