The mysterious disappearance of Ogubode Quadri Adedamola, a 28-year-old graduate of Lagos State University (LASU), has taken a tragic turn after his lifeless body was discovered buried near a church premises.

Adedamola, who was the CEO of Horlar Edu Consultancy, was last heard from on January 16, 2025. According to his girlfriend, she had spoken with him on the day he went missing, and he had informed her that he was in front of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Ileri Oluwa Parish, LASU 2. However, he was never seen or heard from again after that conversation.

Following his disappearance, security operatives launched an investigation, during which a suspicious transfer of ₦1.5 million was traced from Adedamola’s bank account on the same day he went missing. The funds were allegedly transferred to multiple recipients, including Superior Evangelist Whepetoji Babaniyeh, the shepherd of the church, and his daughter.

When confronted with the financial trail, the clergyman initially denied receiving the money. However, upon further questioning, he claimed the transaction was meant for a Thanksgiving offering. His conflicting statements led to his detention for further questioning.

As the investigation deepened, shocking revelations emerged. Authorities discovered Adedamola’s remains buried near the church premises, allegedly under the supervision of the church’s shepherd. In addition, security agents reportedly recovered a gun and an axe from the suspect, further raising suspicions of foul play.

The gruesome discovery has sparked outrage among residents and the broader public, with many questioning the integrity of religious institutions and the alleged involvement of religious leaders in criminal activities. Calls for a thorough investigation and justice for the deceased have intensified, with demands for law enforcement to ensure that all perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.

As the case unfolds, authorities have assured the public that a comprehensive investigation is ongoing to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
