It is with great pleasure and profound admiration that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku on his well-deserved re-election as Executive Chairman of Ojodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA). Among the many local governments in Lagos State, Ojodu holds a special place in my heart—not only for its strategic significance but for the dynamic and impactful leadership it has consistently witnessed under his stewardship.

Since assuming office, Hon. Odunmbaku has demonstrated rare dedication, progressive thinking, and an unwavering commitment to transforming Ojodu into a model of grassroots governance. His passion for developmental strides, driven by innovation and people-centered policies, has distinguished his administration across Lagos and beyond. Under his leadership, Ojodu LCDA has not only been put on the map but has also become a shining example of what visionary leadership can accomplish.

What particularly sets Hon. Odunmbaku apart is his strategic focus on youth and women empowerment areas that are foundational to sustainable development. During his first term, I had the privilege of collaborating with his administration on several empowerment programs targeted at building capacity, fostering innovation, and nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among young people and women. These initiatives have yielded remarkable results and I am confident that in this second term, such programs will be expanded with even greater vigour and innovation, making Ojodu LCDA a pace-setter among its peers.

At a press briefing yesterday, a journalist from The Nation, Mr. Muyiwa Lucas, asked a critical question: whether Hon. Odunmbaku, having secured a second and final term, would now relax. His response was as inspiring as it was revealing: “Chairman of a local government is not my bus stop. I am a young man with ambitions, and this second term must be better than the first to position me for greater service ahead.” This statement reflects his resolve, foresight, and commitment to delivering results that transcend tenure and politics.

Indeed, Ojodu can expect nothing less than a surge of transformational initiatives—not only in infrastructure, but more importantly in human capital development. It is clear that Hon. Odunmbaku understands that true leadership is measured not by projects alone, but by the lives touched and the futures secured.

As we celebrate this renewed mandate, I urge the good people of Ojodu not to leave the task of governance to Mr. Chairman alone. Let us rally behind him, support his vision, and work together to build an even greater Ojodu. Leadership thrives best when it is participatory, and I am confident that with collective effort, the second term of Hon. Odunmbaku will surpass expectations and set new benchmarks in local governance.

Once again, congratulations Hon. David Olusegun Odunmbaku. May your reign be peaceful, impactful, and remembered for the legacy of excellence you will continue to build.
