Governor Uba Sani has emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election after securing an overwhelming 459,393 affirmation votes during the party’s primary election held on Thursday.
The affirmation exercise, which witnessed massive participation from party delegates and stakeholders across the state, reaffirmed the confidence of the APC structure in Governor Sani’s leadership and administration in Kaduna State.
Party officials described the exercise as peaceful, transparent, and a reflection of the unity currently existing within the Kaduna APC family.
Supporters, party leaders, youth groups, and women mobilized in large numbers to endorse the governor for a second term bid, citing his developmental strides, infrastructural projects, security interventions and people-oriented policies as major reasons behind their support.
Speaking shortly after the announcement of the results, Governor Sani expressed gratitude to party members and the people of Kaduna State for the overwhelming endorsement, promising to remain committed to delivering democratic dividends across all sectors of the state.
He noted that the affirmation victory was not just a personal achievement but a collective mandate aimed at sustaining growth, peace and development in Kaduna State.
Political observers believe the massive affirmation votes further consolidate Governor Sani’s influence within the APC and position the party strongly ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Kaduna State.
