Popular Nigerian Yoruba Nollywood actor and producer, Alhaji Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, has clocked 98 year old on the 19th of February, 2023. The actor is well known for his stage name AGBAKO which he said that the name is a self giving name regarding the movies he usually partake in and he also want a fearful name that’s why he decided to choose AGBAKO as his stage name, he disclosed this information in an interview session with BBC Yuruba. He is also referred to as as Charles Olumo, he was born on February 19 1925 from Abeokuta, Ogun State. Currently At 98 years he is one of the living legends from the old Yoruba filmmakers. He has proudly credited himself as the ‘first bad man’ of the Nigerian film industry. He featured in his first big screen movie, Ija Ominira, by Ade Love. He went on to collaborate on successful movies with Akin Ogungbe, Baba Sala, Hubert Ogunde, Jimoh Aliu, Oyin Adejobi and many other actors and thriving filmmakers.

Speaking further on some of his embarrassing moments as a specific kind of actor, Alhaji Abdulsalam said he wants to make use of a public transport on his way to Lagos when he didn’t have a car, the moment he got on the bus, everyone was scared and they came out of the bus which made him to explain to them that he was just an actor and nothing more, that ‘Agbako’ was nothing more than a mere name. in various discussions Alhaji Abdulsalam also revealed that focusing solely on GOD and not charms have been the secret to his long life and good health.
