Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 977th career goal on Friday as Al Nassr returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Al Riyadh in the Saudi league.
Ronaldo started the match on the bench before coming on in the second half and completing Al Nassr’s scoring in the 83rd minute.
Al Amri had put Al Nassr ahead in the 18th minute before Angelo doubled the lead shortly after half-time. Joao Felix added a third in the 58th minute before Ronaldo rounded off the victory late in the game.
Ronaldo’s goal came after he was set up by Yahya, with the Portugal international finishing a well-worked move to reach the 977-goal milestone, according to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner had missed Al Nassr’s previous fixture, watching from the stands as the club defeated Al Fateh.
His return to action was therefore marked by another significant personal milestone as he continues his pursuit of 1,000 career goals.
