Eid:Moon Sighting To Be Searched On Thursday – Saudi Authorities

The Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh has called upon citizens and residents to search for the crescent of Shawwal 1444 on the evening of 29th Ramadan 1444 corresponding on Thursday, 20 April 2023.

The court has further instructed to report any sightings to any nearest court.

The main sightings will take place in the towns of Sudair and Tumair where it is believed the Crescent is most likely to easily observed due to the elevation and weather of the area.

Numerous Astronomers including the International Astronomical Center have said that there slim chances of the Crescent to be observed on Thursday and Eid Al Fitr is likely to fall on Saturday, 22 April.
