The President of the Lagos State Council Chairmen Wives Association (LASCCWA), Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, alongside chairpersons of Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas (LGs/LCDAs) across Lagos State, joined thousands of women from across Nigeria at the historic 10 Million APC Women Mega Rally held at the iconic Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

The high-profile gathering, organised by women stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as a massive show of solidarity and support for the party’s leadership and renewed commitment to grassroots political mobilisation ahead of future electoral engagements.

Mrs. Abimbola Odunmbaku, who also serves as the Chairperson of Ojodu LCDA, led the Lagos delegation in a colourful and energetic display of unity, reaffirming the critical role women continue to play in strengthening democratic participation and advancing the developmental agenda of the APC across the country.

Addressing newsmen at the rally, the LASCCWA President emphasized the importance of women remaining active drivers of community development, political stability, and nation-building.

She noted that the overwhelming turnout of women from different states reflects the growing confidence in the APC-led administration and the increasing influence of women in shaping Nigeria’s political landscape.

The rally attracted prominent APC leaders, women groups, political stakeholders, and supporters from across the federation, all converging at the Abuja stadium in a celebration of women’s political strength and solidarity.

The “10 Million Women” initiative is a major 2026 political and empowerment program in Nigeria, officially titled the National Women Mega Empowerment & Rally 2026. Led by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs in collaboration with the Office of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, this program aims to mobilize women across all 774 local government areas to strengthen their economic power and political influence.

Observers described the event as one of the largest women-focused political gatherings in recent times, highlighting the strategic role of women in mobilising support at the grassroots level.
