American YouTube personality Jimmy Donaldson, popularly known as MrBeast, has married content creator and author Thea Booysen in a private ceremony held in the Caribbean.
Donaldson, 28, who is currently the world’s most-subscribed YouTuber with more than 500 million subscribers, announced the marriage on Instagram, sharing photographs from the celebration with his followers.
The pictures captured the couple in different outfits during the event, including their traditional wedding attire. Donaldson was dressed in a tailored suit, while Booysen wore a long lace wedding gown before changing into a shorter dress later in the celebration. The couple also appeared in matching white casual outfits believed to have been worn during the reception.
Expressing his happiness after the ceremony, Donaldson wrote, “I found Mrs Beast and it was the best day of my life.”
Reports indicated that the wedding took place on Necker Island, a private Caribbean island owned by British businessman Richard Branson. The week-long celebration reportedly began on July 14 and was attended by about 70 family members and close friends.
Guests participated in activities such as snorkelling and kitesurfing before the couple exchanged vows. The ceremony was officiated by a family friend who is an ordained minister.
Donaldson and Booysen began their relationship after meeting during a trip to South Africa in 2022. Booysen was introduced to the YouTube star through a mutual friend, and their friendship later developed into a romantic relationship.
The couple became engaged on Christmas Day in 2024.
