The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC PCC) has said that the approach which the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate,Mr Peter Obi, took on perception of religion and ethnicity in Saturday’s election, February 25th, 2023, reveals that Obi will be tagged as the “most dangerous and divisive politician.” in Nigeria’s history. This claim was made by the Special Adviser on Media and Communication for the APC PCC, Dele Alake, at a press conference in Abuja to address the allegation of rigging and collusion with the electoral body forwarded against their party and candidate Tinubu.

From the results of February 25th election the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was announced the winner of the 2023 presidential election on Wednesday and was declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu.

From the presidential contest Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes under the ruling party, APC to defeat the PDP flag bearer, Atiku who had 6,984,520 votes and the third rival under LP, Obi with 6,101,533 votes, after the conclusion of the election both Atiku and Obi have kicked against the results with each claiming that the election was fraught with violence and rigging and they have resorted to take their case to court for redress.

“The majority of them who have subverted the will of the people and at the same time, criminally denied the people from voting, end up going to jail. That has been their fear. “All these antics and statements they are issuing is an attempt of a drowning man who has been found out based on the lies and propaganda they have been spreading. But we as democrats have proved that we are going to rescue Nigeria and put her on the right part while her oppressors would be put to shame.” they addressed.
