President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has formally inaugurated Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd) as the Administrator of Rivers State, entrusting him with the mandate to steer the affairs of the state in line with the renewed vision for national development.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, was attended by top government officials, political leaders, and dignitaries from across the country. In his address, President Tinubu charged the newly appointed Administrator to prioritize peace, security, and socio-economic development in Rivers State.

“I am confident that Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Rtd) will bring the same commitment and professionalism he demonstrated while serving the Nigerian Navy to the governance of Rivers State. His appointment reflects our commitment to ensuring stability and progress across the federation,” President Tinubu stated.
In his acceptance speech, Vice Admiral Ibas expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve, pledging to foster unity and sustainable development in Rivers State.
