REWARD ME OR KILL ME’: APC SUPPORTER PROTESTS ABANDONMENT IN ABUJA

An unidentified supporter of the All Progressives Congress staged an emotional protest at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Thursday. The man was seen crying and holding a handwritten banner that read “All Progressives Congress Reward Me or Kill Me. I’m a party man and not a lunatic.”

The protester told onlookers he sold his house to settle debts incurred from work he did for the APC. He alleged that the party abandoned him without compensation, leaving him homeless, depressed, and with deteriorating health.

He further claimed the party’s Chief Security Officer threatened to shoot him. “Rather, the CSO is trying to shoot me and nothing will happen,” he said in a viral video seen on X posted by @SaharaReporters.

The man said he could no longer cater for his children due to his financial state. “Since yesterday, my children, I don’t know where they are. I dropped my children with the CSO,” he stated. He added that he could no longer pay their school fees.

Bystanders at the scene were heard mocking him, asking, “Who sent you?” to sell his belongings for political activities. The protester maintained his actions were driven by loyalty to the party.

“I’m a party man, not a lunatic,” he repeated, clutching his banner despite the crowd’s reaction. As of press time, officials of the APC had not publicly responded to the incident. It remains unclear if any intervention has been made regarding the man’s claims.
