PDP Crisis Deepen – Wike Expulsion, Count me out, am for reconciliation – Fintiri

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has made a firm and clarifying statement, distancing himself from the move to expel the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In a message released on his verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, he stated unequivocally that he does not support the expulsion and believes such a decision is not in the best interest of the party. According to him, taking that route would only plunge the PDP deeper into avoidable crisis.

Fintiri emphasized his loyalty to the PDP and reaffirmed his commitment to its peace and stability. He stressed that he would not be part of any action capable of weakening or disintegrating the party. Instead, he called for unity, urging stakeholders to focus on healing internal divisions and fostering reconciliation. To him, dialogue and cooperation remain the only viable paths for rebuilding trust and strengthening the PDP as the nation moves toward critical political phases.

The governor reiterated that his stance is driven solely by his desire for peace and his belief in reconciliation as the foundation for a stronger, more cohesive party. His message, delivered through his official X handle, underlines his unwavering commitment to ensuring that the PDP does not derail but rises above internal conflicts to reclaim its place as a formidable national force.
