TWINFEST AFRICANA 2025 TEAM VISITS MILIKI 101.3 FM, FORGES PARTNERSHIP AND COLLABORATION AHEAD OF EVENT

The management of Miliki 101.3 FM on Thursday received the Organizers of Twinfest Africana 2025 (2nd Edition), led by Engr. Bola Babarinde and Mr. Bello Akinkunmi Yakub, during a formal courtesy visit to present their Letter of Collaboration ahead of this year’s festival.

Speaking during the visit, the delegation explained that Twinfest Africana is a cultural event dedicated to celebrating twins and multiple births, an aspect of African heritage known for its symbolism, uniqueness and communal significance. They noted that the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture endorsed the maiden edition in 2024 and has also endorsed the 2025 edition, a development they described as a validation of the festival’s growing cultural relevance. The endorsement letter was formally submitted to Miliki FM management during the meeting.

Following the success of the inaugural edition, the second edition of Twinfest Africana is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Gym/Hall, National Institute of Sports, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. The organizers highlighted that the festival has quickly become a unique cultural platform that brings together families, cultural enthusiasts, policymakers, brands, and the general public to celebrate twin heritage in Africa.

In their remarks, the organizers sought a strategic media partnership with Miliki 101.3 FM, noting the station’s influence and commitment to promoting African culture and grassroots development. Engr. Bola Babarinde stated that the partnership would foster deeper cultural visibility, impactful storytellingand broader reach for the festival across Nigeria and beyond.

Mr. Bello Akinkunmi further outlined the key benefits for Miliki FM as an official media partner, including prominent brand visibility, exclusive media access and coverage opportunities, on-site media and promotional space, recognition as an official media partner, inclusion in all publicity campaigns and activities with complimentary VIP passes for Miliki FM representatives at the event

The meeting was hosted by the Head of News and Current Affairs, Mrs. Abimbola Ogundipe, who led the station’s management team comprising Reporter Segun Alaka and On-Air Personalities Bolajoko Giwa and Aderibigbe Adeyinka. Mrs. Ogundipe commended the initiative and expressed Miliki FM’s willingness to explore a mutually beneficial partnership. She also highlighted the station’s upcoming medical outreach programme, to which the Twinfest Africana organizers pledged their support and participation.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing commitment to deepening collaboration in the promotion of African cultural heritage, community service and impactful media engagement.
