He noted that the removal of fuel subsidy has contributed to market stability, while oil production has risen to approximately 1.8 million barrels per day.
He further disclosed that Nigeria has attracted about $2 billion in Foreign Direct Investment into the oil and gas sector, alongside ongoing efforts in gas commercialisation. Dr Mustapha also referenced the landmark Electricity Act signed by the President, which has liberalised the power sector by enabling subnational governments and private entities to generate and distribute electricity independently.
Highlighting the Renewed Hope Solarisation Programme, he cited the example of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, which has transitioned off-grid, significantly reducing its annual energy expenditure previously estimated at ₦200 million.
In her presentation, Dr Princess Aderemi Adebowale, Senior Special Assistant to the President on the Renewed Hope School Feeding Programme, provided insight into the scale and structure of the initiative. She revealed that Nigeria currently feeds about 10 million children, representing half of the 20.2 million beneficiaries across the ECOWAS region.
According to her, the programme is technology-driven and supported by data from the National Identity Management Commission, with over 450,000 farmers integrated into its supply chain. She emphasised that the initiative prioritises smallholder farmers while maintaining strict monitoring, verification and evaluation mechanisms at the ward level to ensure compliance with global standards.

Also speaking, Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters, Dr Tope Fasua, underscored the significance of key economic reforms, including subsidy removal, exchange rate unification and ongoing tax and revenue restructuring policies aimed at improving economic inclusivity.
He highlighted Nigeria’s transition from a predominantly import-dependent economy to recording a trade surplus, attributing this progress to deliberate policy direction. Dr Fasua also pointed to large-scale infrastructure projects such as the Lagos – Calabar Coastal Road and Sokoto – Badagry Highway initiative, describing them as critical drivers of long-term economic growth and development.

He also highlighted the impact of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in supporting students’ access to higher education with other initiatives by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration across diverse sectors to improve the lives of Nigerians
Dr Eyo acknowledged the initial challenges associated with economic reforms but commended the administration’s resolve, particularly in advancing policies in the health and education sectors.
Similarly, Dr Abubakar Zauro praised the President’s boldness and strategic intent, noting that recent trends indicating a gradual decline in inflation suggest that the reforms are beginning to yield positive outcomes.
Panelists unanimously expressed support for the continuation of the Renewed Hope Agenda, advocating for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 to consolidate ongoing developmental strides.

A major highlight of the engagement was the unveiling of a new publication titled “Tinubu is Key – 2027 Continuity Blueprint.” The book, reviewed by Prince Ade Omole and formally launched by Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP), was presented as a strategic framework for sustaining policy continuity and national development momentum.
