Fresh controversy has emerged around Thomas Ereyitomi following allegations that the lawmaker may be holding membership in both the All Progressives Congress and the Nigeria Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ereyitomi, who is seeking a third-term return to the House of Representatives on the APC platform, was allegedly registered as a member of the NDC on April 29, 2026, according to a purported membership card currently circulating within political circles in Delta State.

Sources familiar with developments in the constituency claimed the card contains his personal details, photograph, and a QR code allegedly linked to the NDC membership database.
The allegation surfaced at a time the lawmaker has intensified consultations within the APC ahead of the party’s primary election. Political stakeholders in Warri Federal Constituency alleged that uncertainty over the APC ticket may have influenced the reported move, while some party members warned that verified evidence of dual political affiliation could trigger internal disputes and legal complications.
The claims have continued to generate debate among APC and NDC supporters across Warri North, Warri South and Warri South-West local government areas, though Ereyitomi has not officially reacted to the allegations.
