JAMB Reveals 3 Reasons Names May Be Missing From Matriculation List

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has identified three reasons candidates may not find their names on the matriculation list.

The board explained that the absence of a candidate’s name could be linked to issues with admission acceptance, the processing of admission details by the institution, or failure to print required JAMB documents.

According to JAMB, the most common reason is that a candidate has not accepted the admission offered through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Central Admissions Processing System (JAMB CAPS), or the candidate’s admission status still reads “not admitted.”

The board advised candidates whose status shows “not admitted” to return to their institutions to have their admissions properly processed.

JAMB also said a candidate’s name may be missing from the matriculation list where the institution has not forwarded the candidate’s verified matriculation details to the board.

It urged affected candidates to contact their institutions and ensure that their admission details are properly processed through JAMB CAPS.

The third reason, which the board described as the most important, is failure to print the JAMB original result slip and admission letter.

Candidates who have not printed the documents were advised to visit the nearest JAMB office or an approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre to obtain them.

JAMB further urged candidates to follow its official communication channels for updates and additional guidance on the matriculation list.
