State Institutions Included In Nigerian Student Loan Programme – NELFUND

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has addressed misleading claims circulating on social media suggesting that its student loan program is exclusively for federal institutions.

NELFUND firmly clarifies that this is incorrect and confirms that state institutions are also included in the program by law.

The program will be implemented in phases to ensure efficient management. The initial phase will focus on students attending federal institutions. The subsequent phase will soon extend to students at state institutions.

“NELFUND remains dedicated to providing financial support to all eligible students, whether they attend federal or state tertiary public institutions.

“This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to provide all motivated students with the necessary financial resources to achieve their educational aspirations.”
