Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is reportedly in Paris, France and meeting with Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike along with other PDP Governors like Samuel Ortom of Benue, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, and other PDP stalwarts loyal to Wike who are also attending the meeting.

It would be recalled that the Wike camp in the PDP are disgruntled with the outcome of the PDP presidential primaries which Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emerged as the party’s candidate and subsequent actions coupled with disparaging remarks by PDP top chieftains towards Governor Wike who felt the internal reconciliation mechanism should have been handled to assuage him better.

It is believed that Asiwaju Tinubu who is famed as a skilled negotiator and political maestro would woo the Wike camp towards an aligned interest favourable to his aspiration.
