In the aftermath of the RUGA debate, the Yoruba Youths Forum (YYF) has asked the governors in the South-West not to give out yoruba land for the program.

The group in a statement signed by its President Abiodun Bolarinwa said, “We want to use this opportunity to warn any South-West governor or monarch against ceding any part of Yoruba land to herdsmen for Ruga settlement. The consequence for daring us will be dire,”

The group asked the President to forget about the RUGA program and said any governor in the south-west who gave out land for the program would be rejected by the people.

The group in the wake of the killing of the daughter of a leader of Afenifere also called on government to act fast on the security issues in the country.

They said, “We sympathise with our foremost leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, over the death of his daughter, Mrs Funke Olakunrin. Her death is indeed shocking and sad. It has also strengthened our position that Nigeria is in a precarious security situation.

“The Federal Government should act fast. We pray that God will grant the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.”
