The Ikeja local government council under the leadership of Engr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun on Saturday 24th May 2025 make history with Legacy projects commissioning and Mega empowerment.

 

 

Three new buildings, and a remodeled building were commissioned. The newly constructed three-storey, 80 rooms all ensuite administrative building was commissioned by Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-olu, represented by his Chief of staff, Mr Tayo Akinmade Ayinde.

 

Newly constructed two floors Legislative building was commissioned by member representing Ikeja II at the Lagos State House of Assembly member and Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Adedamola Richard Kasunmu.

Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) assisted project; Kemi Nelson primary health center was Commissioned by Mrs Toun Nelson Popoola

Remodeled Ikeja House; Office of the Chairman, was commissioned by MHR, representing Ikeja federal constituency, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.

Another major highpoint of the ceremony is the empowerment of 50 constituents with mini-bus (KOROPE) by Engr. Dr. Mojeed Balogun, as well as cash support grant of #100,000 and #250,00 for 300 constituents and 100 constituents respectively.

The council Chairman took no step back in immortalizing his leader, late Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson. Two of the commissioned buildings were named after the late leader. The administrative office complex got named as Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson Building, while the new primary health center got named as Kemi Nelson Primary Health Center.

Important dignitaries and personalities attended the event as well as traditional rulers and titled chiefs.
