Joy Raimi Mojisola has repeated the feat of former Beauty queen Bianca Ojukwu at the Miss Intercontinental pageant.

Mojisola, the current Miss Port Harcourt City Intercontinental emerged as Miss Intercontinental Africa at the just concluded Miss Intercontinental pageant which was held in Egypt.

Mojisola beat 76 other contenders to clinch the 2022 title at the 50th edition.

This is coming exactly 33 years after Bianca Ojukwu achieved the feat at the same pageant. Bianca Ojukwu also won the title in 1989.

On her feat, Mojisola said:  “I feel fulfilled being the Miss Intercontinental Africa, I’ve always wanted to make a change and I saw the opportunity and grabbed it as it came.”

She further said she aspired to motivate young Nigerian girls. “As I’ve always said, part of the reasons I did compete in this pageant is to prove to young Nigerian/African girls that you can be whatever you want to be with hard work and persistence. Keep pushing your dreams.”

The Nigerian National, Miss Continental Africa, Anita May Igoni while commenting on the event said it was well deserved. Igoni noted that the organizers followed due process and maintained transparency.
