The much-anticipated virtual conference under The Renewed Hope Global Virtual Town Hall (GVTH) returns today, September 14th, 2024, with a special edition featuring two prominent female leaders. After a brief break last week, the platform will host not one, but two distinguished VVIPs, bringing together some of the most influential voices in Nigeria.

According to Joseph Kolawole Adebola, Esq., MNIM, MCICN, the Chief Host of the Renewed Hope GVTH, today’s event underscores the openness and responsiveness of the current administration. “Having two VVIPs today is a testament to the receptiveness of this administration to the yearnings of Nigerians, both at home and abroad. Every time we reach out, our leaders are eager to engage with Nigerians globally, discussing pressing national issues in an open, heart-to-heart manner,” Adebola stated.

Today’s virtual event will feature the Honourable Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, alongside Dr. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, Mandate Secretary of the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s (FCTA) Women Affairs Secretariat. These distinguished speakers will address key national topics: Dr. Mahmoud will lead a discussion on “Advancing the Capital Under The Renewed Hope Administration: A Dialogue on the Progress and Future of the Federal Capital Territory,” while Dr. Benjamins-Laniyi will speak on “Advancing Gender Equality Under The Renewed Hope Administration: The Role of Women Empowerment in Nigeria’s Development.”

To accommodate the dual themes and ensure an interactive session, the conference will begin earlier than usual, at 2:00 pm (Abuja/London time). Both discussions will include a one-hour Q&A segment, allowing participants to engage directly with the VVIP guests.

Adebola highlighted the active role Nigerians have played in the previous sessions of the virtual town hall. “Over the last few weeks, Nigerians have displayed remarkable enthusiasm and commitment to the progress of our nation by contributing innovative ideas to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda. Some participants have even secured opportunities from past special guests due to their proactive participation. Today, we expect no less. It’s another chance for Nigerians to prepare and seize potential opportunities.”

Themes of the Day:

1. Advancing Gender Equality Under The Renewed Hope Administration: The Role of Women Empowerment in Nigeria’s Development

2. Advancing the Capital Under The Renewed Hope Administration: A Dialogue on the Progress and Future of the Federal Capital Territory

Adebola concluded by inviting Nigerians across the globe to join the conference. “My team and I look forward to welcoming you all at 1:45 pm, Abuja/London time. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to engage with leaders shaping Nigeria’s future.”
