The Chairman of Ojodu LCDA, Hon Segun Odunmbaku attended a 3 Day workshop on “Regulating Urban Sanitation Services, Faecal Sludge/ Waste Water Management Guidelines And Standard” organized by the Lagos State Government Water Regulatory Commission in conjunction with Faecal Sludge Management Alliance (FSMA) of Netherlands.
The programme which took place earlier this week from Monday 16th January to Wednesday 18th January at the Eko Hotel And Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos had the First Lady of Lagos State, Mrs Ibijoke Claudiana Sanwoolu has guest of honour while research papers on “Improving Legal And Regulatory Performance Through African Sanitation Policy And Guidelines” were delivered by Professor Sunday Okegbule, Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University.
Hon. Segun Odunmbaku said that his administration would continue to explore channels and mediums to collaborate with development partners and other levels of government to improve the conditions of Ojodu people while repositioning the local council to attract investments for socioeconomic development of Ojodu LCDA.
“We would keep working on collaborative efforts to improve quality of life for our people and increase environmental sustainability through effective sanitation services in public places especially our schools health centers and markets.” said Odunmbaku
“We appreciate our partners in other levels of government especially Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission who have continued to facilitate developmental projects and workshops with development partners such as WaterAid Foundation for the betterment of our communities” He finally said.
